We all have the ability to think and reason.

Most importantly, we have a spirit or soul that is a positive life giving energy that is the same essence that originated from the creative source.

God is, and says that He is, a spirit. It is only so we can relate to Him and His word that He speaks as if He had a human body or features that we could "look like".

The "image" of which he speaks is His character and nature.

Most of the image in which He created man was lost when Adam and Eve rebelled against God and disobeyed Him.
For those who have come to Christ, this image is being restored.

I agree with the answers above, mins Neon somethingorother.
It is not the outside, but the inside.
We have a soul.
We have a spirit.
That is how we are made in God's image.

Well its kinda hard to explain but we were made in God's image spiritually. We're kinda like we're able to think for ourselves and make actions and discover things that animals can't. We don't look exactly like each other because God wanted us to be unique, each and every one of us. But we're all God's children and made in his image.

The Bible says that God is Holy and God is Spirit, so his image isn't physical, rather is spiritual. Some believe that it is in that spiritual image we are made.

Well first off, we are not made in God's image. Adam was made in the image of God. We are made in the image of Adam. Think about that for a while.

If you don't agree with me, check your bibles. Its there.

In a physical and scientific sense, we are featherless bi-peds with opposable thumbs.

...and in addition to that, our spirits inherited God's divine attributes and along with them the potential to one day become godlike.

You are being too concrete. The image of God is within our soul.

We have a free will, an ever-living spirit, intelligence, the ability to love, to have compassion, to feel emotions.
