Most teens with enuresis have inherited a small bladder, which cannot hold all the urine produced during a night. In addition, teens are deep sleepers who don't awaken to the signal of a full bladder. If they did, they wouldn't be wet. Physical causes are very rare and your health care provider can easily detect them. Emotional problems do not cause enuresis, but they can occur if it is mishandled.

Here are some tips your brother and family can use to help him get over his bed-wetting.

Use the SleepAlarm. You hook it up to your underwear and an alarm beeps when it senses your underwear is wet. (The part that beeps is hooked to your shoulder).

And don't worry, everyone can stop at a different time. No needs for fear.

You can order the SleepDry Alarm online and check its cost on a shopping website.

GoodLuck

Your brother needs to see a urologist. This could be a medical problem. His bladder might be too small to hold his urine. My son had this problem, and a urologist helped him. I tried the alarm pad, and this just scared my son. My son was given short term medication that helped him quit. Good luck to you both.
