Also, I'm 138 pounds and under 5'3, so obvously I could afford to lose some weight.

I wont be doing any extreme exercising, just my usual crunches and housework. I move around a lot during the day so hopefully without the food part, I will lose some weight.

I'm sorry to crush your dream but if you are 5' 3" you aren't tall enough for modelling (not even for modeling petite outfits, it takes 5' 6") so there is no point in trying to starve 20 lbs away.

You would be better off targeting the "small pin-up" look if your body shape allows you to pursuit it. I'm positive you would have lots of admirers and it will be more rewarding on your body as well.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

fasting for a few days at a time then eating sensibly and nutritionally for a few days does wonders. It worked in the bible...if you cut your nutrition completely and only drink water you can do serious damage to your organs. I doubt that it would be worth it to get the job then spend weeks in the hospital. Moderate fasting say for two days, then eating sensibly for two days and repeating the pattern will not hurt you. If you feel faint though, you need to eat something. Make it very low fat, the only fats you need should occur naturally as in butter, milk, nuts, olives avacados etc. You gotta have protein...people dont' realize how critical protein and fat is to body function, you don't need a lot of it but you have to have it. Do not touch any processed foods or table sugar what so ever. Get fructose, use honey or use stevia as a sweetner if you like, but thats it. Eat a lot of raw vegetables or lightly steamed. Not too much fruit but make sure you have some. Try chicken and fish instead of red meat, but you will need the iron so don't cut out beef all together! Good luck,

I lost 23 pounds so far in under a month. Someone referred me to this website www.itgirlguide.com. The guide has fashion tips in it also. It's only 9.99 and you can lose weight the healthy weight rather quickly. I lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks! They have a contest going on to win a pair of designer jeans, make up and skin care products from Sephora. Check it out and let me know how it works. Good Luck :) I swear it works. I'm proof.

Answer is maybe. It will hurt you for sure. It may or may not make you lose weight.

To burn off 20lbs. you must work at it. Your body must use up those 20lbs., they just won't disappear simply by starving yourself. Your muscle tone will disappear first, not the fat by the way. It's more than just the weight I would think that gets you into modelling. You could be 100lbs. with 17% body fat...not good and that's what starving yourself will get.

Sounds like you won't listen anyway.

No, you will lose water weight and eventually muscle and end up feeling like crap and compromising your health. Your metabolism will slow because your body will go into starvation mode. When you do start eating you will probably binge, and even if you don't, you will gain back more weight than you lost by starving yourself. You may even end up in the hospital due to low electrolytes. DON'T DO IT, IT'S NOT WORTH IT.

Sorry, but I don't feel like sparing you. In fact, some of us are actually concerned about you hurting yourself, so I'm doing the opposite of sparing you.

What good is trying to become a model if you're dead? Did you not learn anything from the models who died in Europe?

You will lose weight by not-eating for a week.

Trouble is, you'll probably gain it all back and more if you start eating again.

Your goal should not be to lose weight, but to find a diet-exercise routine that you can sustain for the long run.

No, It will actually slow your metabolism. Your body will think that it isn't getting enough food so it will burn calories at a slower rate. To lose weight you need to eat smaller meals more often so that your body doesn't get hungry, that will boost your metabolism.

If your already skinny and dont eat much it probably wouldnt make much difference that you only do it for a week. But if your fat and eat lots it will make some difference.

Not eating will slow your metabolism down so you will need to jog as well.

If your not eating, jogging will use up so much energy that you will faint quite often so jog with a pillow tied to your head.
