I do not know the state of atheists' souls when they die. but I will address the monkey thing. Darwin was CLASSIFYING people and animals and plants, and he theorized that we are RELATED to monkeys, which has been proven with genetics: our DNA strands are very similar to the PRIMATE family. We share a common ancestor WAY back in the before time. So, when classifying people, are you thinking: Insect family? Fish family? Perhaps you think we are more related to the Dolphin family. Well, that just doesn't make sense. Please get it right if you are going to argue the point. Get a little educated please? Just go out and look around at the world that God made. He commanded that man name the animals. Darwin was just following that order. After all, there is order to what people thought of a chaos before. Spontaneous Generation? Is that what you want to believe? Darwin enlightened us all and you would thrust that lamp under a bushel basket! Every scientific discovery validates the Intelligent Design.

You're right. There are monkeys. And gorillas, and chimpanzees, and all the others of the ape species. So, where are all the others from the species that man belongs in? Surely there should be some more members of the species. Is man the only one of his species? Is he the only one with the ability to articulate and build and think and worship God? Interesting.

no. because if he or she really is an atheist, he or she wouldn't believe there is a God. I grew up in China, where most of the people are atheists or at least not religious at all. Because of the communist regime, we learned to become atheists. and many of us truly are. and when they die, they believe that they will just be GONE... nothing comes of it... there is no final judgement or hell or heaven or anything like that. there is no such things as afterlives. that explains why it's so much more difficult for them to face death because they will just be gone. there are no promises... if there is no foundation of any kind of religious ideas from the very beginning, there wouldn't be any religious thoughts during the end.

just before you die, it's been said that you feel a sensation, a feeling of God's presence and that what made Darwin ask for forgiveness
But it doesn't work like that.. You can't live your life not believing in God and living your life in a bad manner then expect to be sent to heaven cause you ask for forgiveness.

That's Darwin. One man's actions don't define everyone elses.
Apparently, the people who gave me a thumbs down believe in stereotyping.

You know, Darwin's theories and God can coexist.
It is a narrow minded sect of people that refuses to believe anything except what they worship in their particular church.

Some probably do - some probably don't.
I would also guess that a few believers might feel betrayed by their god in their final moments.
Shrug ...

No, Darwin did not. How many atheist death beds have you visited? Not too damn many, obviously.
I am going to love what they are going to say to you.
