Women are not allowed to serve on U.S. subs, though a Pentagon panel recommended that they be allowed to in 2000.
It was immediately fought by members of Congress, most especially Rep. Roscoe Bartlett, R-Maryland, who said "If we put women on submarines, there will be pregnancies. One cannot deny this urge of nature and it will occur."
Navy Secretary Danzig responded with, "there are also good reasons for integrating women. Women are a vital part of the work force; their place in society is changing." And, Danzig pointed out, women were "five of the top 10 graduates in the Naval Academy last year."
I haven't found any info about this being discussed lately.

Currently no as their is no private space for woman aboard a submarine. this was tested on the big ballistic missile boats but was found to be not practical. I believe that is the policy in all navies could be wrong on that though.

My daughter was a radio man on a ship in the Navy.. was so insulted all the time she went AWOL and went back to her husband and kids...
I don't think it is a good idea cause the quarters are so close.
