possible dishonest car salesman need honest help...?

Question

We resigned a contract because the car was reposessed because the bank denied the first contract. The salesman wasn't sure if the bank would accept the new terms so he kept the contract. Do we still get a copy? is it right if we took the customer copy without him knowing?
