The Son of God is not and was not created, He is the Creator. The reason Jesus had to be born of a virgin -aside from the fulfilment of OT prophecies- is because He had to (i) be the seed of woman according to Genesis 3 (ii) So He would not be born in sin like the rest of the human race after Adam. He was the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. The sinful nature is passed from generation to generation through the seed of man, ever since Adam fell by disobeying God. Also, Jesus was conceived by a direct miracle of God's Holy Spirit and not by the act of man. Thus He was truly "the only begotten Son of God".If Jesus had not been born without the sinful nature with which we have all been born than He would not have been the spotless Lamb of God and His sacrifice would have been meaningless because we would all still be in our sin and eternally condemned.
Hey Broadcast; you best read the Bible again. Every time that particular word is used in the Bible as it was about the promised coming Messiah it meant virgin -as in a woman who had known no men. Try using an Interlinear Bible and some lexicons next time. Also, when the angel told Mary she would have a son she asked a very plain and simple question. How can this be, for I am a virgin and have known no man? Thus the context and Mary's question clearly state that Mary was a virgin and had never had relations with any man. This is why the God in the OT calls it a sign. It would hardly be a sign if Mary hadn't been a true virgin

There are like 25-35 prophecies concerning Christ in the Old Testament. Including his birth.
Why a virgin birth? So that no man could pollute him with imperfection. ANY man on earth would have rendered him imperfect as his father. Only by Holy Spirt could he be born perfect. According to ancient Jewish tradition and lore, the "life" came from the male, the "form" from the female. This means that had Eve sinned, but not Adam, we would still have been born perfect. But had Adam sinned and not Eve, we would have been born imperfect anyways. Not so fair, but que sera, sera.

If you desire I will tell you about `Isa (Jesus) (p.b.u.h.) son of Maryam (Mary)?
He used a stone for his pillow, put on coarse clothes and ate rough food. His condiment was hunger. His lamp at night was the moon. His shade during the winter was just the expanse of earth eastward and westward. His fruits and flowers were only what grows from the earth for the cattle. He had no wife to allure him, nor any son to give grief, nor wealth to deviate (his attention), nor greed to disgrace him. His two feet were his conveyance and his two hands his servant.
In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
When the angels said, 'O Mary, God gives thee glad tidings of a son through a Word from Him; his name shall be the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, honoured in this world and in the next, and of those who are granted nearness to God;

The only reason that Mary is taught to have been a virgin is because of a mistranslation from the Greek word for "young woman"
The prophecies, in greek, stated that a young woman would give birth to Jesus. This was mistranslated to "virgin" and for some reason that is beyond me, it stuck

How else would the 'birth' be different from others and thus termed as 'divine' ?
Has to be out of the ordinary !!!
The argument given would be
"Since it was the 'spirit' that impregnated the virginity was not affected".
Moreover.......
It was not possible for a space ship landing for god as there was no expertise to build a 'Space ship landing pad'
And then to be accepted by humans, the birth of 'god' had to be worked out in a way that was partially understandable by human beings !!

It would have been too easy to just send Jesus down in a ray of light or something. Jesus had to start his Church on Earth with real human people. So he was born from a woman, who suffered. He grew up as a child, and had skinned knees and sniffy noses like any child. He suffered and was human, because we suffer and are human. Without this, people would not have been able to identify with him, so who would have listened or followed?

First, proof that God and man are close in the evolutionary and genetics scale.
Second proof if the hymen is still intact that no large object has been inside.
A girl can spread her legs for a priest or medical person and say: Hey, look. If the hymen is intact what can you say.
2,000 years ago that was pretty impressive, today, it can be easily done by science.

The concept of a 'virgin birth' was developed and decided upon at the historical Council of Nicea. Do a yahoo search on it.

Would it be more real if there was some sex involved?? God just took Mary and did her???
God is not a man. He doesn't need semen to get a woman pregnant.
And it's no legend, the prophets prophesied it would be so.
