The story was made up by Dan Brown.
Though the theory is very true and was made by someone with knowledge. Dan Brown only made it known in the entire world.
My theory is not original but is based on facts from the bible. Jesus was in fact married. He was called Jesus Rabbi sometimes in the Bible. There was no way of him being Rabbi unless he was married. And for a man his age in that time, if he wasn't married, he was homosexual and I honestly doubt that.

i believe that it is a real story based on the author's original imagination and research as written in the book. the story is a mixture of fact and fiction. and if you go and see the film after having read the book or studied the subject elsewhere, then you will be checking it out and trying to guess which bits are fact and fiction. at the end of the the day, the author is saying 'what if it was like this..?' what would happen if the story was true - it would absolutely devastate the church if it was true - but it isn't. it is a story, that is all..it is just there to encourage people's imagination on this subject - that is all. it has got a lot of people talking about it, hasn't it? if you haven't seen it yet, and it is your kind of thing, then go and see it - it is great!!

A clue should be is it was listed in the fiction section when it was a book. It is simply an attempt to make money selling a controvercial idea. Not really so novel, just one off a long list of theories attempting to discredit the Chrisitian faith. There are many evidences about what the early Christian church believed both inside and outside the church. Most people are unaware that there is no work of antiquity that can compare with the way the bible manuscripts were preserved. There are over 25,000 manuscripts and partial books recorded in many languages and on different materials. There is also reference from some of the Roman Governors who knew of Jesus Crucixion under Pilate. Dan Brown should have done his homework before he wrote his fiction.

Yes they made a movie from the fabulously rich, dan browns book, The Da-vinci Code. I think Angels and Demons would have made a better movie.

Yes there really is a movie called the Da Vinci Code. And while I like bashing religions myself sometimes, I know a good con when I see one.

The story is fiction. It was written by Dan Brown. I read the book but still haven't seen the movie. Although the actual story is fiction, some of the ideas and concepts may be true. Wether you think so or not kinda depends on what u beleive as far as religion and science and history and all. Personnaly, I feel that the ideas and concepts sound really reasonable and plausable.

No, I am really surprised people get this assumption. However many people have not researched the topic greatly. Anyway I believe Dan brown implied some underlaying allegory that is true. This allegory I mention isn't very open to people who are not familiar with like minded studies.

of course, no. why? 1st, i am ashamed of you! your grammar is incorrect!. 2nd, what is the weight of the frame of the madonna of the rocks that sophie neveu used as a shield against the police? that is 300 lbs. too easy to lift huh? 3rd, the fact stated in it that ancient israelites have ritual sex in the Temple and the L-rd have a female part, shekinah. Well, shekinah is a Kabbalistic term ( Jewish mystic sect) that refers to the Divine presence here on earth especially in the Ark. And it's abhorrent to the judaeo-christian religion to have ritual sex. it's only done by their near eastern neighbors, the canaanites, arabs, babylonians etc. The Creator, blessed be HIs Holy Name, STRICTLY forbids this kind of abomination.

Dan Brown is awfully mistaken in his depiction of art, history, religion, etc. and his bestseller is not authoritative and is an unreliable source. sayang, ang ganda pa naman kaso san iba na lang iyong paksa.

MIstakes:
the gnostic bible is written in coptic.
etc

If the movie's basic premise is untrue, and anti-catholic; and the movie was made by a majoritively-Jewish-owned company, then I'm waiting for the catholics to sue them under "hate-speech" laws.

The story is fiction. There are many historical facts which are true. Some are not entirely accurate.
