Once again, humans were kinda special. They had free will and were able to introduce evil into the world. The damage they did could only be fixed by a human, if humans were to remain free. But humans didn't have the power to undo the evil they had produced. Only God had that power.
So the solution was, God had to become human. The God-human had to confront (experience) the evil fully in order to redeem it and turn it back to good.
This is why God had to go through all the drama of the crucifixion. The only other way would have been to zap the humans into robothood, which would defeat the purpose of making them in the first place. God wanted free people capable of true love, not robots capable only of following orders.

So that knuckleheads will get it that their salvation came with the greatest price on heaven or earth.
1) God is not a magician- no wands please. only words that proceeds from his mouth and his Merciful Hands.
2) Because the people killed the prophets that came before Jesus to proclaim God's glory and to tell the people to repent
So he did the ultimate. He sent his son down, so that we, the undeserving might be saved. Therefore no more sacrifices. Christ is considered the lamb of God who took away the sins of the world. God laid all our sins on his and had him "slaughtered". As there is no forgivenss without the shedding of blood.
Thus, we don't have to do it ever again!
No more Human or animal sacrifices because God has done it once and for all. Now all that is needed is to ask for forgiveness.
Hence the Old testament and the New Testament. Go read the Bible!

Why would God have had anything to do with the crucifixion of Jesus? Jesus was just a teacher, a regular man just like everyone else. He was not anymore a son of God than Buddha or any other spiritually advanced human we've had the priviledge to learn from.
(Gasp) - 'what blasphemy' ye Christians say!!! And to all Christians I say, "Do research on your religion. It was all made up. Literally. And if you would go back to historical records of the Council of Nicea, you would see that. I promise."
That doesn't mean people shouldn't be Christian, it just means be a Christian by concious choice after you know the facts instead of what you've been told to believe.
Christianity has good things going on, prayer is good for you and others. Christianity teaches good principles for living. But do your homework before you throw the baby out with the bathwater on your beliefs.

Haha, obviously you're not looking for a real answer.
God needs all the drama of the crucifixation to announce his turning of a new leaf.
Remember Old Testament Yahweh? He was an angry, angry god. Smite here, smite there. Turn into a pillar of salt. Petulant and angry all the time. God! People suck, I'm going to drown them all. I'm going to condemn everyone and play favorites.
Then came Jesus. Then it's "Love here, love there, love love everywhere. I love of all of you man."
He's the creator of the universe. He needs a good show now and then.
As for dying on the cross, to allow people to get into heaven, I'm sure people were allowed to get into heaven before. It's probably just very difficult. It gets lonely there, in the big resort in the sky. He needs some company. After all, all the rules he set down leave little room for people to make their way in.

God doesn't use 'magic' as a way of creating or doing anything He wishes. God sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross for the sins of His 'elect' or 'chosen' - those born again by His grace and mercy. Without Christ's death on the cross, there would be no hope for salvation in Christ and eternal life in heaven.

Jesus suffered and doubted like any mortal. Like it was supposed to be, for the redemption of human kind, for the sin Adam and Eve commit ed in the garden. That is why he din´t use his "magic wand"

The question of sacrifice. Have you've been playing chess? You know you will sacrifice your piece for a greater good. Sacrifice concept was inherently built in nature. Consider the plants, will they grow up and live without the fertilizers generated by their dead fellow plants? When a plant dies, one will grow up. The same is true to humanity. Man's disobedience causes death. God's in His love sent His Son to save mankind. His Son will have to die so that those who will believe in His death will not experience the fear of death - an example for those who will follow Him. And because He resurrected Himself, those who joined in His death will be resurrected to eternal life. Sounds confusing to unbelievers. But here is the little logic from Dr. Richard:
If you believe that if you die you will going to nowhere or nothingness, then there is no reason to call this world as the land of the living - but this world is a "land of the dying"!

Good question - God had decided that His Son had to pay the price for Adam and Eve's boo boo.
In Genesis where it mentioned that a heel would crush the snake's head. The snake to mean satan or evil.
God could of fixed it back then but then man wouldn't not to have a will to choose .

God didn't need any drama at all. He could of called 10,000 angels to his rescue. But he loved you so much he chose to die for you. God's love and his justice were demonstrated. God is just and must punish evil. The penalty is death. But his love was demonstrated in that he didn't want us to die. So God sent Jesus to take our place. So Jesus went through the drama because he didn't want us to die. and im talking spiritual death. You don't have to be a christian, nobody's twisting your arm. But think about it.
