Color has nothing to do with anything it is a matter of taste. If you can find a male parakeet it will be friendlier and easier to train. We have our second parakeet now. Our first was a female, she was an OK pet but after getting a male we see such a difference in personality. Our Fred,as we call him, sings all the time. He kisses and has been so social we have come to love him like a member of the family. Our female parakeet sang very little and preferred to bite. Even tho she did at times accept food from our hands, she would just as likely bite. We have had Fred for seven years now.

There is nothing wrong with having a yellow parakeet. The yellow color is a stable color. The only thing that the yellow one do have is red eyes. Which means they are light sensitive.

If you like yellow, get a yellow parakeet! I love mine!

I have a yellow parakeet. she actually looks like a canary because of that. she has a boyfriend who is a nice blue color. But my parakeet bleeds everytime she gets held or what not. and she is nearly inactive except when it comes to food. plus the blue bird owns the cage, and she is fine with it. Moreover, i would describe her as boring. But otherwise she is very pretty.

There are no problems with the yellow parakeets. If you would like one go right ahead and enjoy a wonderful pet bird.

I have no idea. I have a yellow parakeet and she is just fine. She has no problems that I know of. Maybe it was a joke?

That's a bunch of nonesense. The color of the bird makes no difference. While in the wild, all white or yellow or any one specific color makes the bird easier for prey to spot, it does not effect their personality, health etc.
