God is infinitely holy, sinless, and just. When we sin, when we do something contrary to God's will, then we have offended God. Since He is infinite, our offense against Him takes on an infinite quality -- because of who we have offended: an infinite God. Since no person can please an infinite God (because we are finite and sinners) then the only one left to remove our sins is God Himself. Therefore, Jesus is God in flesh, the one who died on the cross, bore our sin in his body (1 Pet. 2:24), and physically rose from the dead

My pastor was sharing this story in church. A man owned a farm, and he was in his house one night, during a terrible storm. He heard a commotion at the window, and there was a bird, desperately trying to get out of the cold into the house. The man didn't know what to do. He had an idea, and went over to the barn, which was warmer for the animals inside, and opened it slightly, hoping the bird would see the open door and go in. It didn't. It kept flailing against the window. The man was very sorrowful over this, and frustrated. He said he remembered thinking, "if only I were another bird, I could tell this bird where safety was".
This man wasn't a believer at the time, but that is how God spoke to Him about His son...that He sent Jesus to us as a human, to talk to us and show us the way in a way we could relate.

No you have the wrong concept. the fact is that God is all powerful and that's why He understand all of human nature well. He let them do at their free will. It is more logical and sensible way to send Jesus on behalf of him and let human understand how to live and survive by human way than making human turn into robot under His control. What you don't understand is that God is not giving if you don't ask, not opening if you don't knock. The concept is there. He will just come down and show you the way and the truth. the rest is up to you.

He became flesh so that He could show us Himself. Remember that Father God told Moses that no one can look upon the face of God and live. So He needed to be flesh so that He could show us His great love and teach us His absolute truth. Thus He became Jesus and will remain Jesus as well so that all who follow Jesus will know Him as King of Kings in the "New Jerusalem". But Jesus also reminds us that Father God still remains Almighty. Simple isn't it.

yes if God is God...then God is all-powerful
& yes again God does not need to come down to earth as a human being
& a third yes, God does not need to become flesh (& blood)
God did not have to do that...
but for people who believe in God & for those that believe in Jesus of Nazareth
God did come down to earth & became flesh...
why? because that is only way we (mere humans), we (God's mere creations) can
even come close to comprehend God, to understand God, to know God & to know
ourselves...
if you do not believe in God, if you do not believe in Jesus...
did God ever forced you to believe? Did Jesus?
you have that freewill to believe or not... just take your pick...

For the same reason we ask why doesn't he come right now?!!
He is omnipotent, he created us, so we needed to see, feel and hear his words and miracles.
He sent Jesus to create disciples here on earth to spread the news of his coming.
To show how to live as a humans.
To show Gods love.
He had to die to save our souls. Would you be able to crucify God? No. A human claiming to be the son of God? Easy.
Thank God he sent Jesus to die for our sins . . . . .
God Bless

God is not self concious of Himself..He does not need to show off lol...HE MADE THE WHOLE idea of babies being created in woman lol...He made the whole idea of childbirth lol why would He come any other way? hahaha..that is His way of bringing creation onto the planet or else he wud have cloned Adam lol ( man im looking at u im very disapointed btw they have successfully cloned cow meat and thinkin about sellin it on the market untagged) rather than make the woman give birth to a child..so of course God came from a woman...and if He is born a woman what do u think He's guna come out as? that wud b pretty weird if God came out this 20 foot tall muscular THING u want Him to look like lol...accept Him for who He is..who do you say that He is?

God choose to come down as a man...to save all man kind. We are sinners..all of fall short of the Glory of God. God can not be near sin..for he is perfect. So the only way we can be with God..instead of hell, is to have our sins washed away...by Jesus Christ.

Typical, none of these answers (including the real long one) make any sense whatsoever, and do not answer the question. The reason? There IS no answer to the question. god is imaginary, jesus was a man who died a long time ago, and the rest is nonsense.

It is not about need. He wanted to. He volunteered for it. He prophecied that he would do it. And then He did what he promised. Jesus wasn't God, He IS God.
