Oh, and I thought that the only thing that sent me to hell was drinking red wine with fish.

The bible calls blasphemy of the holy spirit the one unforgiveable sin. That is the utter rejection of God. We know this because when you read the bible, you always have to compare scripture with scripture. Since John 14:6 tells us that no one comes to the Father, except by the son, and also says there is no other name under heaven by which anyone could be saved (other than faith in Jesus), that means if you reject Jesus, that is how you end up in hell.

"And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books...And anyone not found in The Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire". -Rev. 20:12, 15. What this portion of Scripture clearly states -as did Jesus Christ and does all of Scripture- if your name is not in the Book of Life you will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire, your works are obviously meaningless. In order to be in the Book of Life you must be born again by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. Works will not -I repeat not- get you into Heaven. Thus you are judged by what choice you made while alive on Earth. Choose this day whom you will serve. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. God has placed before us the choice between "life and death, therefore choose life". You will go to hell if you have not been born again. Jesus taught more on the subject of eternal damnation than He did on eternal life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3:16-21 KJV HOLY BIBLE

Anyone who is not saved by the grace of God, having salvation through Christ will be the ones going to hell. Unless one turns from his/her sins and confesses them to Christ and professes Christ as their Lord and Savior, then they will not see the kingdom of heaven. John 3:3 - Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Blasphemy of the Spirit is the only unforgivable sin. The other sins are sins nonetheless, but they can be erased.

NO, the only "unforgivable sin is blasphemy". GOD will still judge each and every one of us. We will answer for every sin that we commit. HE expects obedience. If we have not prayed for the forgivness of sins after baptism then we may have a problem. If we are sinful in a public manner and do not aski for the prayers of the congregation then we will be guilty of this also. It is necessary that we continue to read, study, and obey HIS WORD even though we have become a Christian. We are also expected to carry out the Great Commission. How many of your friends and neighbors know that you are a Christian and have not been invited to come to church with you or to a BIBLE STUDY with you? These are inportant things to ponder.

To become a real Christian, we are told that we must HEAR the WORD in John 6:45, Jesus said, “It is written in the prophets, And they shall all be taught by God. Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.” We are also told so in Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. We are told the we must BELIEVE in Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We are also told so in Mark 16:16, Jesus said “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” and in John 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. We are told that we must REPENT (or turn from sin) in Luke 13:3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Also in Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST in Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. We are also told in 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. We are to be BAPTIZED according to Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” and Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. We are to CONTINUE to be FAITHFUL UNTIL DEATH according to Revelation 2:10c Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. We also know that Paul wrote in Romans 14:12 each of us shall give account of himself to God. It is important that we not ignore what is written, change what is written, or add to what is written in the New Testament which is our Christian Guide. Have a great week.
