I was checking on my lovebirds and I saw in their bird tent one birds neck twisted in a strange shape, the other bird standing next to him. I am afraid that the living bird may die soon as well because of her lost mate. Is there anything I can do? The bird that we still have isn't very good with human interaction. Maybe I could put her babies in the cage with her but she might just show aggression to them like she normally does.

I don't really think the bird will die of any sickness.I more think she may die of misery. I had 2 birds a long time ago, they were best pals. Then one of them passed away and the other seemed lost and didn't eat anymore and eventually passed awaya few months later. Idon't want to go through the same expiriance again...

i highly ADVICE recommending to change the food daily, the death of the bird might be due to food poisoning and less care.
Make sure you change the food and water daily, water mainly !
cause it will be the main reason for bacterial virus in the water.
Next time you buy a mate be careful to set him in a pleasant
environment with sufficient care. good luck

Many reason could factor on the death. Try bring in the dead birds body to a animal doctor (vetenarian) to investigate, if you dont want to loose another one. Also try to change the current cage, i would highly recommend this, as the other bird will not be comfortable & it will feel stressed staying in the cage where its mate died. Relocate the other bird. And buy another mate for the current ones.
