I have a mild head ache. In a 1 to 10 scale, it is about 2-3. It is there all the time all over the head. It has been going on for over 6 months now.

Doctor said " Take advil when you need it "

Did any of you experience anything like this ? If you did, what did you do about it ?

there is such a thing called chronic pain... it's permanent pain... [ever heard of chronic headaches?].. your best bet is to talk to your doctor.. have him run some tests.. to find out what is truly going on.. it could be something very serious... but then again it could be nothing but stress... and don't forget... it doesn't hurt to question your doctor.... if you doubt what he's telling you.. get a second and maybe a third opinion...

I'll see your six months and raise you by a couple of decades.

Pain of any type that lasts at least 6 months is chronic pain. If your gp doesn't want to take this seriously, then find another doctor. At the very least, insist on having this investigated, starting with skull and neck x-rays, and including all appropriate referrals.

Don't take no for an answer. This is your body and not your doctor's. You have to live in it.

Mine was from my wisdom teeth coming in. I also recently had a friend that after many tests and the drs saying it was probably a tumor found out he had a cavity that had caused an infection into his jaw. He never even had pain in his teeth or jaw. I'd go see a dentist and see if you're having an issue with your teeth. Also if you are stressed you might be grinding your teeth. ( I did that while my husband was deployed and as soon as he got off the plane my headaches stopped!)

Get a second opinion fast. If all you need is Advil then great. But I'd definitely get a second opinion.

Ihad the exact same problem, still do sometimes. I found out that I have sleep apnea. That's what caused it. I didn't buy a C-PAP, I just put a fan in my face when I am sleeping and I feel a lot better. Good luck!!!
