Reason being I don't have a treadmill and jumping jacks are something I can do in my living room along with crunches and pushups. ALSO, do you get the same exercise if you split up the 45 minutes, say into three 15 minute intervals?

Yes, I believe so. As long as you get your heart rate up and keep it up for the full 15 minutes of the workout, you'll be fine. Just make sure you march for a few minutes at the end of the workout to bring the heart rate back down. Jumping jacks are more of an aerobic workout then walking on a treadmill, but the benefits should be just as great especially when you incorporate the crunches and push ups. You go girl! Good for you!

It doesn't really matter what you do as long as you stay in your target heart rate for 20-30 mins. If you can do that by whistling Dixie, then it's as effective as running. Target heart rate is all that matters nothing else, unless you want to be buff.

Jacks are good cardio, anything is better than doing nothing! You could also go out and run as long as it is safe!

You can pretend you are jumping rope, great cardio and good for the arms.
