I would say probably about 30 songs if you are makeing a regular audio cd. If you are making a mp3, you could probably fit about 250 songs on it.

It depends on both the mp3 quality (with how many Kbps was each song originally transformed to mp3- 128KBps:average, 192 to 324KBps:very good, 64KBps:poor) and the duration of each song. The higher the mp3 quality (of the songs not the mp3 player!)or the duration of the song, the more memory it takes. An average pop song with an average mp3 quality will use 3.5MB of disk space so dividing 1026MB (1GB) by 3.5MB you will take approximately 300 songs.

250 when there about 4 mins long each the list of songs that shows when you search in limewire they have differnt file sizes that would also make a bit more fit

it depends on the size of the songs but i have one and i have 206 songs and about 19 mb of memeory left...
