I met my current girlfriend though online dating, so I think it's great. But 3000 miles is a long distance to be with anyone, not to mention that you haven't even met him in person.

Text, chat and email all you want to keep in touch. But you really should consider him a friend that you are attracted to rather than a real boyfriend. You both have lots of changes in store (graduation, college, maturity) ,so don't be so focused on this relationship.

At 14 you really don't know what real love is. You are enjoying the attention from this older, hot guy. You are a little girl, be one. Life will throw you enough as you grow up so don't create your own drama now.

A 17 year old guy who is talking this way to a 14 year old girl is sick. He has some major problems. It's easy for him to pray on you because you are young and easy to manipulate. That doesn't mean you are intelligent and mature, just that you learn as you grow and experience life.

Cut all communication off with this guy. You will get over him. Steer clear. DO NOT meet him. And watch Prime Time, he might show up on one of the episodes!

I personally believe that there's nothing wrong with internet dating. I've met most of the girls I've dated off the internet and have had different degrees of success with it. I met the girl I lost my virginity to on the internet. I'm 26 and for some reason, I find it easier to talk to women on here to be able to get to know them. I know that I'm not ugly, I just lack the ability to walk up to a woman and say, "Hi, how are you today...". So I do think of the iternet as a valuable meeting arena. Just remember, people aren't always who they portray, and be safe, have fun, and good luck!

OK so like he'll be 18 next summer and you'll be like 15 and if you were my daughter I would have the guy arrested......

and are you sure he is really only 17?????

stay away.... do your parents approve? if they do tell them to re-think the situation....

Lastly, find someone closer to your age, less than 30 miles away - someone you can talk to like you've been doing with the 17 year old.... who I bet is lying about his age...

BE CAREFUL

No. It is not good due to distance involved. You should love where you can meet physically and enjoy life. It is not love. It is simply words writing plays. I would prefer to do love in the vicinity and close proximity of my place. OK. Good Luck.

Hmmm... 3000miles... is too far... long distance relationship regardless of how young you guys now... is hard to work it out. You will always wonder what is he doing now... is he with someone else... how would I know... ??? Too much drama...

If you want dating... find someone nearer... plus you have not earn money yet... it will cost everyone too much money too...

Sorry... the reality hurt...

You are looking for trouble.
At your age you should not be thinking of dating someone 3000 miles away.
Also you really do not know who or what you are talking with.
Beware

Aren't you under the age of consent? Why don't you get involved in sports instead? It would be much safer.
