Yes. The flu requires rest for the body to fight it off. Make sure you do eat right and drink lots of fluids, mostly water. Get as much rest as you can. It certainly doesn't help with the MS but you don't mention how severe it is right now. I know it won't be easy with a 19 month old. They are so busy and into everything. Is there anyone that you can call to help for a couple hours a day or once in a while so you can get a little more rest?
Blessing to you and your grandson.

Hi Grandma-
Certainly a good nights sleep and rest all day is best to get over flu symptoms.
Make sure you sleep every moment when baby is sleeping. That doesn't mean put him to bed and then do dishes and mop the floor. Naps too- he should still be at two naps- and you sleep when he sleeps.
Make sure you have 10 8Oz glasses of water- vitamins- echinachia- Vit C. Eat well.
Baby should be able to entertain himself a lot of waking hours- so you can rest on the couch.
Don't try to overdo it!

Probably. See if you can get someone to babysit your Grandson for a couple of days -while you get some sleep. The Flu is nothing to mess with- & you need to keep up your strenth if you're going to be chasing a toddler around the house! :)

Rest will assist in your recovery. Your body will invest its resources in fighting off the invading virus, leaving little strength and energy for other activities.
If you're not resting while your body is run down and using all of it's energy to fight the virus, you will be dragging yourself around and feeling like crap.
And, yes, because you are tapping the energy needed to fight the flu, chances are you'll take an extra day to recover.

just try to rest as much as possible and be sure and drink plenty of liquids. Maybe the old flu bug wont hang on to much longer. God bless you and your grandson and may he keep you in his care every day.

God bless you for taking care of your grandson.
And yes i agree with you ,no rest ,eating well ,you immune system tends to get low ,and its so hard to get well.
Have you ever thought about getting a flu shot? please don't get offended by my question ,but maybe your reason its because you have MS and you can't take it.
Get well ,but its going to be hard with a 19 month baby ,Lord terrible two's are near.
