For starters stop calling the Bible a fiction book and God Sky Daddy.

I mean can't you at least show some of that intellegence, far-sightedness and open mindedness you always say we lack.

I mean why can't you simply call it our book and God our diety.

What's wrong with diety.

And then there is the Definitive statement "there is no God" that is given to religious questions.

First, you can't PROVE that beyond a resonable doubt in any court room or science lab anymore than we CAN prove it. Thus it's not DEFINITIVE, it's debatable.

Maybe it's the punkers and not the Atheists doing this, but it doesn't speak highly of YOUR intellegence and sensitivity.

You always claim to have a monopoly on those commodities, but the posts her suggest otherwise.

So, it is TOO much to ask for you to simply say "I don't believe in a God or that one exists" and use "your diety" and "your book"

I mean those are descriptive terms. They are non-commital. They are somewhat neutral. They are also intellegent, thoughtful, sensitive and to the point.

Well, I certainly don't want you to disappear! What do I want you to do? Well, I would be thrilled if you decided to seek, not Christianity, but Christ Himself. If you could only know Him as He is, and put your trust in Him.
I say this because you are asking. Otherwise it would be impertinent to say it.
Whether you are a non-Christian or an ex-Christian, this applies. Nobody who has really known Christ as He is has become an "ex-Christian".
So I have expressed my wish for you. Is that something I can impose, or bully you into doing? Of course not. And I respect your belief that is different from mine. That doesn't change my desire for you.
In the same way that I would desire that everybody could have the experience of being alone in a canoe on a quiet lake, or on a stream, far from civilization. Some people would think that would be boring, I couldn't impose it on them, but I would wish they could know that experience and learn to enjoy it.
That is far from being as strong as my desire that everybody should know Christ, the comparison is just to show you what I mean by desiring something versus imposing it.
This might show you why we Christians sometimes do make a nuisance of ourselves. It isn't basically to scare the H out of people, and neither is it to make our churches full. It is from an overwhelming desire to share Christ with people because He has done us so much good. In the measure that we understand that we cannot make people believe, that it is the work of the Holy Spirit, we will stop making such a nuisance of ourselves. But we will never stop desiring Christ for you, and praying for you.
EDIT:
I am absolutely flabbergasted by some of the so-called Christian responses - 3 of them, anyway. I would like to believe they are just spoofing, and not really believers - I think it is the case with one of them (he got a whole lot of thumbs down). But how can a Christian complain about a question like yours? some people seem to have a real chip on the shoulder.
EDIT again:
Perhaps they are reacting more to your other questions, which I have just taken a look at. Also your nick, which I hadn't really noticed. Obviously you do not believe you are God, which is your right, but it is kind of disrespectful to use that kind of a nick. It's not hurting me at all, but I can see why people would take offense.
I still think that it is silly to take offense at your question. I prefer to take it at face value.

I cant speak for everyone of course but what I personally would like is that you, who sound like a reasonable person to share what it is with Christianity that you have a problem with, ask, listen to answers and if you dont like them, thats alright, you have a right to reject anything that doesnt seem right. However, in the process, be respectful... if someone disrespects you, and you disrepect them back, ok... an eye for an eye right? But if someone is not treating you badly, or insulting you, then don't lump them with those who are.

I admitt I havent read what questions or responses you have given, but the only thing I ask from anyone is to show the same respect to me as I do to them.

All I want is to come onto YA and answer questions people have about Christianity. But, unfortunately, 98% of the "questions" posed on here are something like, "why are people still stupid enough to read the Bible?"
Instead of discussing religion, we resort to arguing, as always.
As far as what I want you to do, I just want you to be yourself and be nice to me. If you have a question about the Christian faith, then ask me and I'll tell you. But I can't force you to convert. That's not my job. All I can do is answer your questions.

I think most true Christians would tell you that they would want to see you saved. There are many people who practice Christianity as a religion and never meet Jesus as their personal Savior. The decisions yours, it is our (born again Christians) responsibility to tell you about Him.

Well heres the truth, from one christian to a not christian.

God told his people (through his prophets and what not of course) that we should spread the word of god and bring more people into his light.

That was... hmm about lets see 2,007 years ago. The times have changed and in all honesty if you dont believe in god then don't. If you are that ignorent then don't believe in god. I don't give a crap if you do, or any of your little athiest "non-comformist" friends dont' believe in god. Just join your "non-comformist" group and practice your "non-comformist" lives together.

I don't give a crap. And in no way is any of this insulting. You asked for the honest truth and thats what im giving you. If you don't want to dissapear in the end then dont'. Good job. You have a plan.

Good luck with your "oh what to the christians want me to do"

NOTHING...

God does not want anyone to just disappear. He only wants to bring his family together in heaven one day. I know that sometimes when things are really hard and something doesnt go the way we want, we tend to give up on God, but its not God denying you or not answering you. It just wasnt the one you wanted. So, we all will have to answer to God about our lives and how we lived them. I try to do my best for him.

I want you to read the second chapter of Acts and then tell God honestly that you are still not interested in receiving that exact same experience. If you can do that then you are indeed an amazing indivudual!

I would like for you to try GOD. If you have tried God try him again.

I wont push you to, but I will not try to hide who I am around you. Hopefully you will see Christ in me and want it too.
