You dont know what he likes and hes your bf??? Hmmm I think you better ask him. You will have a better chance of getting him something he wants that way

I say, screw buying him a sweater. In fact, don't buy him anything. You could take him somewhere and do something that you know he's been wanting to do, or maybe a new experience for the both of you? I think even taking him out to dinner without a gift and just doing something super sweet for him. You could write him a letter, make him a compilation CD of a bunch of songs that reminds you of him, paint him a picture, etc.

If you're really good friends, tell him to make a list of stuff he doesn't like, that way you can find something without worrying about picking something he hates. If you're not that close find out what his favorite store is and buy a gift card. Either way you go with this, if he's a nice guy, he'll appreciate it.

Before you start dating someone, shouldn't you have figured out their hobbies and from that, determine what would be a good present?
Well anyway, a sweet card and a photo of you two in a nice frame to decorate his room would always be good. (Don't tell me you don't know what decor matches his room either??)
