Not equal in opportunity, not equal in ability, not equal in outcome.

The only way we can be said to be equal is through the eyes of a Creator. Our notions of equality derive from spiritual belief, not quantifiable data.

I believe this should be some food for thought for those who want to drive all aspects of religion out of public life. Would you be willing to submit to be judged on just how much equality you were worthy of?

Yes, for "God is not a respecter of persons". John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son". Note it doesn't mention here any exceptions. There is only one race in the eyes of God and that's the human race. Racism and hatred are of Satan. Many a person -Stalin and Hitler to name only two- use evolution as their justification for their hatred of other nationalities, acts of horror and murder against other members of the human race. The Bible clearly states we have all been created equal. All are equal before God.

Created equal: yes.
Remain equal: no.

We start out the same yet we each take our own course through life and differentiate ourselves along the way.

Supposedly, but us humans have depreciated it. Hitler killed jews, Whites had blacks for slaves. Racists, and discrimination will always be in our history and future. After Sept. 11, most americans really don't like anyone from the middle east. No Offense to any middle easterns. Humans aren't perfect. We like to say we are all created equal, and act like we follow it perfectly, but we don't.

Of course not some are more equal than others. I am no where near equal to Opera Williams. I'm satisfied with just a can of spinach. OO

We were all created in a special way to be Godlike. He created us for him, so we all have special tones to us. But the best part? God loves us equal.

Absolutely not. We're not all equal in height, weight, intelligence, strength, psychologically, etc. We're all unique like snowflakes. Perhaps you should restate the question. "Are all humans equally worthy of life?" It's just a fact of life that there are stupid people, weak people, fat and skinny people, and so forth. No equality.

Of course we are not equal. We are, each of us, quite different and differently able.

The statement that we are all "created equal" should read that we each must begin our lives with unrestricted opportunity to demonstrate how UNequal we really are.

Excellence is not equality. We must each strive to be excellent.
