Only if you become addicted. Because then it rules you. And remember the whole command that there should be no other gods before thee.

Well...
Since "sin" is defined as doing something against god's law, and there is no evidence of any kind that there IS a god, let alone that he ever made any laws...then NOTHING is a sin. There are still things that are *wrong,* but we as a society define what those are -- made up gods don't do it for us. And we haven't made playing video games illegal -- so you're all clear. Just don't get obsessed by it, and it's fine.

As a former video game programmer and executive, I thank you for buying (and playing) video games! It keeps my friends still doing it in business. Keep it up! :)

It depends really, If the game had religious battering and you enjoy it, there could be a sin.

I don't think violent games would be. You're not actually killing a person in them, it's just a figure made up of pixels, But anyway out of all the sins in the world I don't think you should be worrying about the playing of video games.

well it depends .it depends if you are addicted to it like other people have stated and what kind of video game it is. if you are using it just for some down time and don't let it run your life and if it falls under the guidelines of a clean game by that i mean not contradicting to the Bible (KJV) than no it isn't sin.if any thing ever replaces God in any shape or form it is sin.

I'd like to play street fighter if the pope was one of the characters.... The papal Bule attack has got to be killer. Or super mario Cart! In the popemobile....and when he takes up a mushroom he'd say "Benedictum sacrum amen!" and run over Yoshi

If it is, I am so going to the 75th level of Hell.

Besides, I don't recall Jesus saying, "Yea unto you I say that thou shalt not play the games of video, for they are naughty, and I shall snuff it and blow it up in Thy Mercy".

Sure, I'll call it a sin - only because I have no life and indulge every spare minute I have to World of Warcraft!

All things are lawful to me, but not all things are expedient. Violent games have no place in the heart of a Christian.
