how long does it last and how well would it show up on auburn red hair. i would be dying it black.

im trying to see what black would look like before i go all out and dye it permanently. if manic panic wont give a great color to start out with, what are your suggestions?

It won't work very well if your hair isn't chemically processed at all. Manic panic is vegetable dye, and will wash out immediately if it doesn't have treated hair to stick to, meaning, you'd have to bleach it first, even then it will only last a couple of weeks at most.

the only time manic panic works great is when you highlight your hair with bleach then after the highlighs use the manic panic it will look great

I'm thinking that it will look good and black last for awhile. like I'm not sure but i have seen alot of girls with it and it seems to last. like have dyed my hair dark brown and it is like black when I'm down and i can go a long time with out dying it again.

i have used manic before...
i would not use manic to go black.
it is only semi permiant...
go for a perminant dye form a drugstore...
BUT if you choose manic.
it lasts for about 3 weeks...before losing TONS of pigment.
but it fades everytime you wash it.
i would say use manic for bright colors...not black.
the world of blacks....idk..just wouldnt use manic!

it will look real black no problem but it fades weekly if not daily. i also tried this on my redhair and people started calling me morticia.
also, be sure to get it on all your hair..comb the dye through your hair
