The key is to not let the pasta wait for the sauce.
Do no rinse. If you rinse the pasta it rinses of the starch that helps the sauce stick.

Some cooking shows tell you to put oil or a small amount of butter in the boiling water to help the pasta not stick . Do not do that. Also semolina pasta holds on to sauce better due to the texture.
Mix a small amount of the sauce in pasta to get it "dirty" and to coat better,then add more on top of each dish.

Don't just pour the sauce over the plain noodles, mix the sauce and noodles first in a large bowl, the pasta will soak it up and cover it entirely. Than add additional sauce as you serve.
