I plan on applying to University of Washington's MedEx program(for aspiring physician assistants) and was wondering if anyone knew how well former Army medics and other former military medical personnel fare in civilian PA schools. Any thoughts?

I want to tell you yes, but there are stipulations...While I was in Tech School for Medical Laboratory Technician in the Air Force, we had an Army Seargent cross training into Air Force as a Lab Tech. Unfortunately, she failed out of the class because she was not good at math.

You can be successful if you have the ability to learn everything that is required of PA school. If your math skills or other skills are lacking, then you may not be successful.

Good luck.............Hooo Raaaaa, Air Force!
