Sounds more like Lyme than a spider bite. Lyme does not occur in outbreaks like flu. Ticks might have it not at any given time. If it's a brown recluse bite, you'll know for sure in about 4 days. Not to scare you but the infection and tissue death will be very noticeable.
All the spasming sounds more like a black widow bite than brown recluse, anyway. Known several people with recluse bites. Lot's of tissue damage tha ultimately turns black. No fever, spasm, or anything like that. Black widows, definitely.
I don't think he bullseye would present already if it was Lyme Disease.

Kitties don't realize the the Big Unfurry Cat doesn't have fur to protect his skin from the "love bites". I've had kittens do this and if you don't stop it now the kinda hurts will be big ouchies!!! One method I found very successful is to take a tip from any mother cat. When her kittens get a little too rambuncious with her she will take her paw and gently hold the kitten down for a few seconds. Notice the words gently and seconds. This will signal the kitten that oh yeah Mom didn't like that too much either. It is important that you keep this serious and not let it become a game or you will have a bigger biting problem. It sounds like your kitten is very happy and loves you very much. This won't hurt her and remember Mom has already started the training for you. Best of luck with your baby. I think she's in good hands. Hope this helps God bless fishergirl

No. It isnt Avian Flu. You were bitten by a bug. Its probably a spider bite, or a tick bite. Go into the doctor, and have them look at it, so that you can avoid any further illness. Tick bites, especially, can cause long-term problems (Lymes Disease).
(Apologies for the lack of apostrophies. That key seems to have stopped working)

For a brown recluse spider bite there may be bulls-eye" or "target" lesion.
There may be fever, chills, rash, hives, nausea and pain in the joints over the next few days.
The target lesion will enlarge over the next few days and produce extensive tissue death. There is no antivenom. The lesion will have to be soaked in antispetic and possibly antibiotics. Surgery may be necessary to cut out the dead tissue.
You should probably go to the doctor. Do you live in a Southern State?

It could be Lyme disease. If your are in an area prone to it, get checked. The longer you let it do the worse, it gets.

Go to your nearest dr. and have them check you out, some insects can cause nasty infections when they bite you, which require antibiotics or other meds. Good luck!
