If the earlier trip to the vet earned it any medication, then it may have been too strong, or maybe it is allergic. There may also be something in your house that the kitten is allergic to. Interesting thing about cats, they can have alot of allergies, just like people. Also, when it was at the human society, or when you brought it home, did it get any kind of flea spray? If you use the wrong kind (such as a kind made for a larger animal on a small one) it could make the kitten very sick. We had a puppy once when I was a little girl that we sprayed with flea spray that was too strong and it died. I hope your kitten is OK, good luck.

Is it possible that the kitten may have ingested something? Household chemical/poison, etc.? Something very similiar happened to my cat today and it had died. I am sorry to hear your kitten it sick. I hope it pulls through. I was at work when mine became sick and was not able to take it to the vet, but it happened to quickly too. It was ok when I left for work today.

poison? Reaction to the meds or whatever the vet did? lungs are now very mucousy? bad pneuma-like disease? It could be anything. Getting her to the vet right away is a good idea- sounds like a turn for the worse.
good luck, and sorry

I'm not sure, but the cat is very sick or has had a bad reaction to something they ate. Your vet will know what to do. Good luck.

Wow. Sorry about your kitten. Might be something as minor as an upper respiratory infection or more serious and unfortunately, as fatal as distemper. Good luck. And yes, as someone else pointed out, it's contagious.

My God! Please let us know of the outcome of the vet visit. I really hope your kitten is ok! Do you use any specific cleaning chemicals around the house? What do you clean the litter box and his bowls with? Is it possibly a seizure? Please let us know!
