I have an Oil painting with the name "The Cottages" written at the back
I cannot quite see the full signiture on the painting but here is what I see E.C. W??? 1836 The painting is of An old cottage with a dormer type roof a wooden fence with a lady talking over it to a man on a small horse ,two more ladies and a child sitting on the kerb one lady reading a book and a dog sits in front of them there is abarn of sorts in front of the cottage with two donkey's one inside and one outside wonder could anyone tell me where this painting originates from???

If this is not it, then try some of the fine art sites. If you cannot locate it in the database by the name of the painting try calling some of the auction, galleries, and dealers. A painting from that date has to be worth something.
