This issue was settled about 35 years ago in Cohen v. California, 403 U.S. 15, which found that wearing a jacket saying "F*** the draft" could not be criminalized without violating free speech protections.

Rape and the endangering of a woman's right are not so rare. Naturally some Eastern cultures think abortion is wrong: women have few rights in some Eastern cultures. Here's the problem with right-to-life. The potential mother has a right to life too -- life as she can handle it. If all of us alive now were crossed off as unplanned, how manly would be left? Would neighborhoods populated by right-to-lifers be ready to raise busloads of unwanted, neglected, abused, poverty-conceived babies for twenty years? Are there enough adoptive parents waiting so that women willing to make the necessary changes those months and go through labor could be supported, nurtured, nourished and medically followed those months? Are there enough willing to accept any baby from any mother, regardless genetic background? If your prenatal exam proved a genetic malformation, that doesn't automatically mean you have access to income sufficient for lifelong supportive necessities, nor that you are emotionally prepared either. If you are 14, or 12 and pregnant? If you are mentally handicapped without support and pregnant? If you are just shy of your Masters with a position waiting? Do you have no rights?

I disagree with the choice of words but I recently saw a bumper sticker on a huge polluting ford truck that read " would rather see Clinton on the back of a milk carton". Now, which do you believe is worse, telling a president about profanity or making a suggestion that our former president should be...........dead maybe? free speech works both ways right?. this time this sticker offended you. I don't care for politicians in this country whether Rep or Dem or whatever, they all like to blow smoke up our you know what.

Very low class to do that.
Very disrespectful of others like kids and decent people that don't like Vulgarity thrown in their face!
Even if it said the same thing of Clinton or Kerry............it's gutter language and shame on them!! I Wish they would get a fine.
If freedom of speech matters, then why do they tell high schoolers certain words cannot be on their T shirts. Not that it would be right, but does freedom of speach only belong to vulgar people and we have to just endure their twisted minds?

Like kids don't hear it 100 times at school or in the streets or on t.v for that matter, and when I was in Charlotte N.C, the people were saying that people were watching x rated videos in there cars and suv's and the reply was... well you shouldn't be looking in other peoples cars anyway, especially while driving. So freedom of speech, one right we still hold on to and thank god , and yes f**k Bush.

"freedoms and rights" are also based on community standards the public display of the word F--- might in some communties be exceptable, but to make a blanket statement that is is ":Legal" is wrong

I think it is legal (freedom of speech) but it is very disrespectful. Whoever put that on their car has no respect for much of anything. (theirselves included) Just inform your kids that they are not very smart people.

Well, war on iraq wasn't legal, .... I'm not saying it was unnecesary, but in all fairness i think american kids are better of reading those stickers than iraki kids intercepting those bullets...
Law can be a relative concept.
