My hair is naturally medium/dark brown, and I was wondering if there was any way to dye it a color like bright red or pink that isn't as permanent and damaging? If there's not, I'd like to dye just a streak in the front. Also, what color would you suggest (for the streak) to go with my hair?

I have dark brown hair and got streaks bleached out and used manic panic hair dye. The only downside is that it fades out quickly and is very damaging to your hair. If i were you choose a few strands to dye bright, and use one of the darker reds/purples gel formula dyes and leave it in your hair for a few hours. It will tint your hair purple/red, and then do a few streaks, much less damaging, and you will get the look you are trying to find. Good luck ^.^

I have the same color hair, and I once inquired about dyeing my hair bright green or red, (think Rainbow Bright Dolls). I only answers I got all involved bleaching my hair blond first, then dyeing it the bright colors. I would try the streak first to see if you really like it. And I would go bright red or turquoise-green. I saw someone in the mall with turquoise highlights and looked really cool.

if you want it pink you would have to cleach it first which isn't healthy for your hair but if you do it right it comes out nice..if you want red you can try semi permanent which usually rinses out after 8 washes or a demi permanent which rinses out in 24 washes..those also can have really nice conditioners and make the hair really shiney..be careful with punky colors though because they contain metallics so if you tried to dye your hair back or another color it might really do some damage

as a stylist i would suggest a funky copper or a rich red for streaks depending on the deepness you want your streak you may not need to bleach first.and yes you can color your whole head red or pink but you do have to bleach to blonde first, this doesnt have to be a damaging process if you go to a salon . if you want to save money just get them to bleach your hair and go home to add whatever color you want.

idk about getting ur hair colored without damaging it but bright blu or hott pink would look great
