can i still get sued even though the settings on my limewire are set so that im not sharing any of my music? if yes what do i do to not get sued?

limewire doesn't sue anyone, but the RIAA does a lot.

You may be sued if you commit copyright infringement (and even if you don't; suing's easy, and the RIAA sues people automatically, some without computers, some who have no file sharing software, etc). Remember, you're uploading what you're downloading, so never download music except free music (creative commons, etc).

Yes you can if your are downloading copyrighted material. Stop using it now. The more you download the more of a chance that they will come after you.
