I am wanting to have an outside wedding, and my fiancé and i have looked at many beautiful gardens in our area, but they all are so expensive. Does anyone have an idea of any other places that might be available for an outside wedding? I was thinking maybe a park or something... but i was just wondering if there was any place i was overlooking.

There are old homes with beautiful gardens that are really elaborate! When the owners die or can't pay the bills, the city buys them and converts the home and property into a park sometimes. Often people can rent them for weddings and parties. For example, in Miami, FL there is a home called Vizcaya that was owned by a man and the garden is incredibly beautiful.

Also, try local orchards! They're really pretty. Flower orchards, look up avid local flower collectors and their property might be breathtaking!

a small park or someplace with a lake would be really pretty. i got married by a lake under some trees...very pretty...very relaxed and everything was really peaceful. then we had a small "clubhouse" type room just up the hill that was the perfect size to hold the reception...I think it cost us something like $40 to reserve the area for the entire day...and we had a blast...but think how much you will save on decorations...nature provides most of that...HAVE FUN!!

Depending on where you live it varies. Have you considered getting married on the beach? Do you know anyone with a big home and a huge backyard? You could rent chairs, tables and a tent. Good luck.

my sister got married on the beach at a state park. Check these out. The one she got had a nice grotto that she had a barbaque in before the wedding.

how about a botanical garden with the flowers in bloom(if no one has any allergies that is), or perhaps national park that may have a really good pavilion(in case of rain) or someone's back yard.
lots of luck !
