Absolutely! Especially in areas that get little sunlight. Rain mixed with cold mixed with not enough sun or wind to dry things out equals mold... inside, outside... even underground! It can be dangerous... so do what you need to do to manage it!

Most definitely, you can have mold growing on outside walls.
