I disagree. I would be terrified and would feel very alone if there was no God who loved and watched over me. I would be very sad that there is nothing to look forward to after this short life. I would like to say I understand where you're coming from but I can't. I just know that I know that the God the bible talks about is real.
Below are some true stories of hardcore atheists that changed their minds after a brush with death: http://www.near-death.com/atheists.html

When it all came together..what about this? Heck we didn't make it. The root of energy? The seed of the sun? Whatever caused these things to form is God. Now some may consider this god with human like attributes hence feelings. Some may say god was the big bang and God is an "just" action and he doesn't do anything after the creation until the end. Some may say this force that created it was a self realization causing chaos thus creating form, and we and our surroundings are just bits of an exploding god head product of self realization.
So whatever this and us came from is God. The only form of atheism I would mention is observing the cycle being no start or end equaling no god yet the contradiction in it's self says there is one while there is not one.
The problem with atheism is the statement is there is No god, end of story. At least agnostics base it on experience and even atheists are forced agnostics assuming there will be some larger experiences to happen to them.
At the end of the day there are answers out there to confirm substances of sorts but this is not faith and vice versa.

That is your opinion and that is how you feel. Some of us, however, do not see much beauty in luck or coincidence. In essence, atheism says that we were an accident. Also, evolution, although it clearly explains survival insticts, it does not explain things like love, music, morality, and beauty. If this world is all about survival, why do we love or do unselfish things- sometimes at our own expence, what purpose does music serve besides pleasure and changing your mood and how did that come about, where did the concept of morality and evil come from and why does it matter if the whole universe is about survival of the fittest, and why is anything beautiful or lovely if it only needs to survive?

Even when one is an admitted atheist (as I was once) there is always doubt. Thus, the need to affirm and convince everyone else of this stance. In deciding to confirm that I was indeed atheist once and for all I decided to search Christianity to see it's myths debunked for myself. But, In order to do that I'd have to give it a honest try. That is whole heartedly ask God (even though I had disbelief) to come into my heart. The beauty of His grace is that when you do receive Him, He always accepts, restores and gives you answers. Now I can be certain that I know the truth: Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour. Now when I spread His good news I do it in faith to share its beauty (not to seek someone else's affirmation). But who said this was easy?Want to know the truth? Seek God, receive Him and Be Blessed!

Atheism is a cop-out, buddy. I'm not a god-fearing Christian but there's no doubt in my mind that God is real. You make an interesting argument, but it's kinda "Philosophy 101." You know, that douche who sits in the front row in his blazer and jeans, reading Catcher in the Rye, nonchalantly trying to make all the spiritual folks in the class feel like retards...

I always find it very interesting when a Christian debates an Atheist and uses biblical verses to prove the existance of god.
If you're going to debate and try and prove existance to an Atheist you really have to do better than biblical verses. Look at who you are speaking to! You're speaking to an Atheist who does not believe that the bible is the word of god. A true atheist will convert to belief in god when existence is proven, scientifically with solid, hardcore - without a shadow of a doubt proof -- biblical verses don't prove a thing to someone who does not believe.

It seems like a slap to the face of our obscenely good fortune?
Quite the opposite...
Just as it would be an insult to an artist to say that their art just appeared...
To claim that that this universe that you call so beautiful simply appeared is an insult to God.

You should give credit where it's due. God created all that you are in awe of. I can resist atheism forever. It's very easy to do because I have the amazing gifts of God's Grace and Love.
May God Bless you.

I'll stop resisting the beauty of atheism if I find beauty in violence and hate and crime and greed and lies and ultimately death. I'll quote Dan Browm: "behind every scientific door is a God waiting to be discovered." The beauty and best of any individual or nation or people group can only be founded on God and God alone

But my life isn't all about this world. Yes, I am happy and live life to it's fullest, but this isn't the last stop for me. The next stop is eternal, and I want to be in a nice spot when that time comes.
