i have been going to church and i believe in god but why do people jump and scream and cry in church ?
one this a women went running in front me i took off the other way.... it was scary, she said she didnt remember it.

Some antics known more so with certain sects are a bit much to take in. I can't speak on their experience since I have never felt the need to have a complete loss of self control. I did a post a long time ago about getting this over whelming feeling making you tear up or cry or by on the verge of and the responses seemed to agree. What and where this feelings stems from I don't know. Most people sum it up of stating it is the spirit of God or Jesus. I tend to agree. I have had that feeling happen which was totally unprovoked or expected.

Maybe you were in a Pentecostal church. Holy rollers like my family. My sister can understand what God says when they speak in tongues.

If that happened she faked, Sounds like a demon took her. But Christianity is Real, God Would not take Anybody without there knowings.

Ive always wondered that too.
Its kind of scary, Ill admit, but thankfully Ive never witnessed it.
I remember that I used to know somebody like that who told me it was because the "Holy Spirit" was in them. I dont agree, but I dont know much about it either.

Lol, I've seen some of that on tv. Luckily I've never witnessed it firsthand. I haven't ever just burst out bawling or anything, but there have been several times where the service touches my heart very deeply.

if they laughed, would you think it more normal? emotion is a human trait and releasing the emotion is necessary. why do some churches have people who still still as a board and say nothing? and why not be expressive in worship? i mean they have a Constitutional right to express their religion anyway they want and if this is how they want, then ok. you express it how you want and let them as well.
