what are some good re- recordable dvd dics. to where i can just overwrite with movies or tv shows as many times onto the same dvd. and how much will these cost

i have hp dvd-r dvd dics but im not sure if that will do it

The DVD-R are one-time recordable -- once you record on it, that's it. You want DVD-RW, DVD+RW, or DVD-RAM, depending on what your recorder can take (check the owner's manual). They are usually about $1 each, on sale.

The DVD-RAM is the most flexible, if you can use it, but it usually can't be played on other systems.

The DVD-RW and DVD+RW can usually be finalized by the recorder so they can be viewed with other DVD players (and computers).

Most brands work fine for every day use; you might want to go with well-know brands (Sony, HP, Fujifilm, Maxell, TDK, etc) for anything you want to keep as an archive copy. They probably have at least marginally better quality control than something named like Bob's DVD's...

i have a maxwell dvd-rw and it has been written on a lot over and over agian same quality, i tried it on a dvd-r and it didnt work for some reason guess type of dvd player but it was brand new from best buy so i dont know but the dvd-rw worked, o yea another thing if you want to find dvd quality movies get a torrent downloader and go to http://thepiratebay.org/ and type in the movie your looking for with a dvdr behind it the movies are huge though 4.3 gigs if you need help with converting the movie email me and ill give you some help its not hard
