Please agree to my knowledge that Catholics' first preference is POPE, Why?

"...We declare, state and define that it is absolutely necessary for the salvation of all human beings that they submit to the Roman Pontiff [pope]."

--POPE BONIFACE VIII, BULL UNUN SANCTUM, 1302

"Neither is there salvation in any other [than Jesus]: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
Acts 4:12

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 2:5

"It is the bounden duty of every Christian to pray against Antichrist, and as to what Antichrist is no sane man ought to raise a question. If it be not the Popery in the Church of Rome there is nothing in the world that can be called by that name. It wounds Christ, robs Christ of His glory, puts sacramental efficacy in the place of His atonement.

Is that you Martin Luther? Why are you making a 500 Year old argument, and what exactly is your question?
"Upon this rock, I build my church" Matthew 16:16
The Pope (any Pope) is a direct successor to Peter whom Jesus was referring to. If someone is not subject to the Church that Christ founded, what should someone be subject to? At that time, this was the ONLY church, wouldn't it be a natural thing to say?
The Pope doesn't hand out salvation or act as a mediator, he is Christ's vicar on earth. Do a little more research before you start a serious discussion. AND, there is this thing nowadays, called Ecumenicalism, CHECK INTO IT. Although the Roman Catholic Church may have been guilty of a lot of things in the past, they are obviously more progressive than anything you've ever heard of.

You seem intelligent -doesn't every church state that to draw members to it and How long ago did this Pope live for naturally this declaration is a Man(Church)edict and we all as Catholics recognixe the difference between Man and God and the Pope being a man would never take preference over God,Jesus Christ for all Catholics know that it is not that or any other Pope that gives us Heaven but God Himself by His sacrifice and dying on the cross for us. We follow the Bible First,Always.

That particular Papal Bull was issued in 1302 (as you noted) what you did NOT note was that the Bull was rescinded in Pope John XXIII at the Vatican Council. Also, at the time, the Pope was speaking more in a political sense than a religious sense. Do not think the RCC has not changed in its long (almost 2,000 years) history. The bull does not declare that people are saved in the pope's name, but that all Catholics must submit to to the will of the pope in religious matters as it is believed that the pope speaks with the voice of Christ in matters of religious doctrine.

I'm not Catholic, but to be fair, some things have changed a bit since 1302. You might check more current Church stances since the Ecumenical Counsels of the 1960s. Modern Catholicism does not believe the Pope has the reaching powers that they once did during feudal times.

If you really have questions about Catholicism, then send them to me. I can answer every single one of them honestly, scripturally, and completely.

Jesus appointed St. Peter the leader of the church. "Pope" is simply a name his successors came to be called.

The church, the pope, the Bible, and everything else would be pointless without the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

But when Jesus founded a church (the Catholic Church) and personally selected, trained, and empowered the men who would build it and govern it, he gave them (and their successors) all the necessary power and authority to do so.

Jesus never founded a book. He never gave any Protestant any authority to break away from the true church and start one of their own. And he never, ever, appointed any Protestant to interpret scripture.

He did promise to bless and keep his church forever, until he returns for it at the end of the age, and he also promised the gates of hell would never prevail against it.

Anyone who believes otherwise has simply been deceived.

Your final quote has no source listed. It's certainly not scriptural. And it is absolutely incorrect. Sounds like something from Luther or Calvin.

Because the pope alone holds the keys to the kingdom of God. Haven't you read your Bible? Jesus gave the keys, the universal symbol of supreme authority, to one man, the Apostle Simon, right after designating that man as the Rock upon whom the Church of God would be built; right after telling that man that whatsoever he binds upon earth is bound in heaven. The current pope is the direct successor of blessed Simon Peter (Simon the Rock), and holds the same suthority. The Word of God requires that I submit to Christ, and that means I must submit to His personally appointed and ordained representative.

In biblical times, when the master of the house would leave for a period of time, he would place the chief steward in charge. The chief steward did not rule by his own authority, but by the authority of the master himself, which was delegated to him. Symbolic of his supreme authority the chief steward would be entrusted with - you guessed it - the keys to the household. To disobey the chief steward was the same as disobeying the master himself. Christ used this powerful symbolism, which all the apostles and other people of the time were familiar with, in appointing the first pope, in order that all might understand exactly what he was being appointed to - complete authority over the Church of God after the Master had departed, ruling not by his own authority but by the authority of God who appointed Him to the position, and conferred His own authority.

Peter was appointed by Jesus to be the first Pope. Other Popes succeeded Peter so that the commandment that Jesus made to spread the gospel to all nations could be accomplished.

"when the light that is in you is darkness, oh, how great is that darkness" ;-( each and every religious system that is of this world has their own version of a "pope" ;-(

the apostle John testified 2000 years ago and in that time he testifed, "there were many Anti-Messiah's"....... now multiply the "many" by 2000 and you "see" the confusion of this time ;-(

"catholicism" and her harlot "christian" daughters certainly have confused "the simplicity of the good news" to the utmost!

yet, while there is breath(spirit) there is hope!

for Miracles do happen!

hope is there would be those who experience The Miracle that is "receiving a love of The Truth".......

peace in spite of the dis-ease(confusion) that is of this wicked world.......
