I don't know which to believe, probably more of it doesn't because I play basketball as well and I'm not massively tall, so I'll let the "voters" decide which is the best answer.

Well it actually does, I grew tall by playing basketball, but I'm not actually really sure why playing basketball helps you grow tller but it just doesm, I'm gussing by playing basketball alot, you have to jump and use your arms to shoot the ball in the basketball and by jumping alot, I guess you can grow tall by that..hihihih. I use to be 4 feet 12 and now I'm 5 feet 7, I feel Great about myself and my hight!! :]

It doesn't, it just happens that tall people are good at it and play it. But you can go ahead and play if you think it will make you tall. Mind over matter?

i'm not quite sure but i think it has to do with ur leg muscles when running up and down the court. but how tall you grow kinda depends on ur family genes.

It doesn't, but its weird, cause there were some short kids in my school who played b-ball right through high school, and somehow they got real tall. i wonder if playing hockey makes you more slippery.
