Three eggs in a large shallow bowl.
Add 1/4 tsp of vanilla
Add approximately 3 tblsp of milk
Add a few sprinkles of ginger (less than 1/8 of a tsp)
Add a few sprinkles of nutmeg (less than 1/8 of a tsp)
Add a libral sprinkle of cinnamon (approx 1 tsp)
Whisk the ingredients
Preheat the pan
Completely douse a slice of bread in the bowl (each side)
Put the bread on the pan
Check the bread in a few minutes and turn when brown
Makes enough for about 4 slices

This is the way I make french toast.

Get some nice sliced bread -2 pieces - Trader Joe has a nice loaf of Texas Toast - italian bread sliced thick is good too.

Now take a shallow plate and pour some milk in it, sprinkle some cinnamon in there too - about 1/2 cup milk & 1/4 tsp cinnamon.

in another shallow plate whip up an egg & a little milk - like a tablespoon.

now place that in order next to the stove w/ the frying pan heating up - spray the pan w/ pam, or melt some butter (about a tablespoon)

take the first slice of toast put it flat in the milk, quick pick in up and flip it over so that both sides have been drenched w/ milk. Then put it flat in the egg plate, flip it over and hold it up so the extra drips back in the plate - now slap it in the pan. Go back and do the same thing w/ the second piece. Now get some cinnamon sugar (it's just white sugar w/ cinnamon in it) sprinkle it on the raw side that is still pointing skyward. When the bottom of the bread is a lovely brown shade flip it over so the other side can cook - sprinkle the side facing up w/ the cinnamon sugar.

That's it, now put it in the plate and pour some syrup on it.

French toast is all in the bread you use. There is that new French toast bread you can use it's nice and think so it doesn't get soggy like regular bread. I also like using cinnamon raisin bread. Oh OK so take about 3 eggs beat lightly, with a splash of milk, table spoon of sugar a few pinches of cinnamon and a splash of Vanilla. Over medium heat spray non stick cooking spray, dip the bread in to the egg mixture, and put it in the hot pan wait about 3 minutes and flip it. After you have cooked what you want you can top it many different ways. I personally am not a fan of maple syrup, so I use powered sugar, you can also make stuffed French toast which means that you put cream cheese between 2 slices of French toast and dress it with cinnamon butter. Its very good good luck:)

first you take some bread not really fresh but not stale either any kind but white works the best. Then take some eggs about 4 crack them into a bowl add a quarter of a cup of milk and beat together with a fork until they are well mixed then add a dash of Cinnamon, then take a slice of bread and dip into the egg one side then the other. Don't forget to preheat your pan at about medium high heat and put some butter or margarine so that your soon to be French Toast doesn't stick and burn. Put your egg dipped bread onto the hot pan and cook on both sides until nicely browned, serve sprinkled with confectioners sugar and syrup

It is, isn'it ???!!!
This is how my mother taught me to do it.
You will need to use some harden french bread slices. It is important that you use FRENCH bread and that you leave it to dry out.
In a bowl mix two whole eggs and about 1lbs of milk with a tiny drop of vanilla extract.

Put on the stove a frying pan with a small amount of butter (BUTTER, not oil, not some greasy spread or lard).
When it is melted, turn your dry slice of french bread in the bowl enough to make it suck as much of the liquide as possible.
through it on the frying pan and let it fry to a golden crust before turning it on the other side. Once it is nicely done to a gold crust on both side, place it on a plate and sprinkle some caster sugar on it.
Carry on with your slices til al the egg/milk mixture is gone.

Et voila!!
Bon appetit.

Start with Old Italian or French bread and cut into 1 inch slices. In a medium bowl beat 2-3 eggs, add about a tablespoon of milk, a pinch of cinnamon and just a drop or two of really good vanilla extract. In another bowl add any crushed nuts - the best is with pecans, almonds or walnuts. Dredge your bread both sides in the egg mixture and then dip in your crushed nuts bowl to cover (you can coat just one side if you wish). Make sure you butter your skillet and its at medium heat so you don't burn the bread.

Top with powdered sugar and rasberries as you serve, Enjoy!

Take day old sour dough and slice in inch thick slices. Leave open for an hours to dry out if time permits. Beat egg and add a third cup of milk, pinches of salt, sugar and cinnamon. Dip bread slices in egg mixture on both sides. Heat half an inch of corn or vegetable oil in fry pan until sizzling hot. Fry French toast til golden brown on both sides and drain on paper towel.

Berry French Toast:

This dish is great for lazy mornings when you don't feel like standing at the stove. Egg-rich French toast bakes atop a mixture of sweetened berries.

2 cups frozen blueberries
1 1/2 cups frozen blackberries
1 1/2 cups frozen raspberries
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Cooking spray
1 cup fat-free milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 large egg whites, lightly beaten
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 (8-ounce) loaf French bread, cut into 1-inch slices
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350°.

Combine first 6 ingredients in a 13 x 9- inch baking dish coated with cooking spray.

Combine milk, vanilla, egg whites, and egg in a large, shallow baking dish, stirring well with a whisk. Add bread, turning to coat. Let stand 5 minutes, turning bread occasionally. Arrange bread in a single layer over berries. Sprinkle evenly with 1 tablespoon granulated sugar. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Sprinkle evenly with powdered sugar.

Yield: 6 servings
