How can I find a guy friend to hang out with sometimes?

I'm a single parent who works FT and spends most of my time away from work with my 6-year old. There's no chance of me meeting anyone at work. How am I supposed to meet anyone new?

We are all so busy, I tried internet dating. I tried speed dating and that gets better result because you get to meet them face to face. I guess you have to trust fate.
