Ali was free on appeal until the courts overruled his conviction. He never spent any time in jail.

Yes he did spend time in jail, but not for refusing induction into the Armed Forces. He spent a few weeks in jail in 1968 for driving with a suspended license in Miami, FL.

I think he was just sort of trialed for it. I don't think he actually did, because the common ppl revolted or sumthing. I watched a movie about his life recently can't remember if he spent time in jail, don't think he did tho.

He was sentenced to five years, fined $10,000, was stripped of he's titles and was banned from boxing. But he never severed any time and a won court battles to reinsate him to boxing. He also won a supreme court case that he was not guilty of draft evation and he shouldn't of been drafted at all.

i watched a documentary last night...i can't remember if he went to jail but i know his title was taken away and he wasn't allowed to box for 3 years

ALI WAS EXONERATED BY THE SUPREME COURT. TO ALL THE CLOWNS THAT INSIST HE WAS A DRAFT DODGER. EVIDENTLY THE COURT THOUGHT THAT FREE WILL, FREEDOM OF THOUGHT AND EXPRESSION IS PART OF THE CONSTITUTION.
