Please ask your vet! The kitten is too young to be away from its mother & diarrhea can KILL a young one....
Until you see the doctor in the morning, you can syringe water into the baby's mouth to make sure he won't dehydrate.

Water is better for a cat with either a stomach disorder or case of diarrhea. The "bugs" which are making Your kitten feel sick will breed in the milk, but are less likely to do so in water. Stick with the water until the kitten has stopped being sick. Then You can give It a small drink of the special "milk" made for kittens (ask a Vet or read the lables at the Supermarket).

Correct, see your vet immediately to make sure there is nothing else wrong and that he is properly hydrated. Not sure from your question, but it sounds like it's not his mother's milk but rather cow's milk which is NOT a good thing!
The milk from the mother after birth is the most important thing for offspring whether human or animal. The colostrum contains vitamins, nutrients, immune system support, protein, fat, etc... Don't confuse this with cow's milk. Cow's milk can be problematic for pets (and even humans) and kittens cannot digest it properly. It should only be given occasionally as a treat, but I would never suggest it.
The point is to make sure the cat stays hydrated. Water is the best alternative. As they get older then they also get water from their food, which should be a natural form and moist. Stay away from cheaper store bought brands. Think about it: cats have been around for millions of years in the wild. Do they ever drink cow's milk? They get hydrated from water and mostly from their prey (meat and blood) when water is scarce.
I wish you the best with him.

Oddly enough..I keep hearing about milk being bad for cats and it gives them diareah...I had a cat that lived to 23 years and she drank milk her whole life. Of course it was half & half, Redi Whip and cream..but the same as milk I guess. Actually..when she was around 21 she caught her leg in one of the chair slats when she jumped down and sprained her ankle..the vet told me if she didn't get all that calcium her entire life..she probably would have broken her leg since she is so old. It of course depends on the kitty and breed..I hear persians have weak stomachs and can't eat much of anything. Now.... My two that I have now eat Reddi Whip and half & half everu day and love it..doesn't affect them in a negative way either. Of course they drink their water too..they like to drink right from the faucet for kicks but I always have a bowl of fresh filtered water for them by their food bowls too.
Maybe if you want to give your kitten more water..and he is so young..give him that kitten formula or make your own home made with milk and an egg warmed up (what I always started kittens out on) and at times..water it down some so he'll get more water and continue to water it down more and more until he likes the water as much...just not every feeding since he'll need his nutrition also..when he's on regular kitten food...continue to water it down until you're finally at water. But do it gradually so he doesn't notice an instant change.

The kitten is TOO YOUNG. It should be with its mom for a MINIMUM of 6 weeks, and its better if it stays even longer than that. 8 to 12 weeks.
If it has diarrhea, take it to the vet. Thats very important. Its so young that diarrhea could KILL it.
DONT give it human milk. Buy it a mothers replacement milk and give that to him while encouraging him to start eating soft canned kitten food. But he NEEDS the milk at his age.

Do not give the cat cow milk! They are lactose intolerant and will puke or have the runs. Just keep water available, only extremely sick cats will let themselves dehydrate. Some cats don't drink much, or prefer water they "find" (such as a toilet) as opposed to water they're given.
It sounds like over-attention. Leave a water bowl out and it will be fine. If the cat is truly dehydrated it will obvious that it should be taken to a vet.

Milk is a wives tale. It is not good for cats unless it's a nursing kitten. If the kitten is too young for dry food try some canned food. The milk is probably giving your cat the runs. keep fresh water available at all times.

He is a little young to wean. But old enough to start. Offer a little milk and much more water. But only if it's the special formula designed for kittens: Cow's milk is bad for kitties.
Good luck!

Cow's milk isn't good for cats and will give him diarrhea. Milk made especially for kittens (which you can buy at a pet supply store) is what you need. But because he's not drinking water and is having diarrhea, please take him to a vet right away. Young kittens can become dehydrated very quickly and they can die.

Please discontinue the milk---it may be what's causing or at least promoting his diarrhea!
Cow's milk is not like the milk from a mother cat. MANY cats have an intolerance to cow's milk; if you feel as though he needs milk, you need to get KMR or Just Born from the pet supply store, and feed it to him in a special bottle. Your vet can advise whether or not he needs it.
But NO cow's milk!!! It will just make things worse.

DO NOT give him milk!!!!! Milk is what is causing the diarrhea. He'll end up dehydrated and possibly die from it. Give him plenty of fresh water and if you have to, give it to him with an eye dropper. BUT NO MORE MILK!!!! Your vet will tell you the same thing.
