Dairy products do not sit with me, After I eat anything dairy about a half an hour later I get very nauseous, I do not vomit but it feels like I am about to. I do have an appt to see my doc about this but does anyone no what this could be and how can I replace my calcium.. thanks

It could be lactose intolerance or milk allergy. Consider getting tested to see what foods you may be allergic to. You can get calcium from supplements, foods like collard greens and fortified rice/soy milk. If you find you are intolerant/allergic to milk there are some great vegan cookbooks to get ideas from. The allergy cookbooks aren't quite as good.

It could be a lactose thing... I know since my having my surgery I have had difficulty with dairy as well and after doing a lot of research I came to the conclusion that I have a little bit of lactose intollerance. Nothing has been diagnosed by a dr but I notice things if I eat too much dairy. As for what you can do to replay your calcium...try taking a suppliment. You can by Calcium pills at the pharmacy (depending where you are you can get them at some grocery stores too like Zhers or Sobeys).

Before you start taking Calcium see your doctor especially if you are taking a multivitamin that contains Calcium. If this isn't the problem taking extra Calcium could lead to other problems.See your doctor anyway and tell them of your food intake via a food diary listing what you have eaten and when for a week prior to your appointment.This will be very helpful for them to determine a diagnosis.They may take blood or a UA.Depends on the dr.Either way...see your doctor first.
