Can a transvestite go to heaven, if he's a bishop?

Of course! The Kingdom of Heaven is within you (within each one of us). Every living being on this planet, all 6.5 or 6.6 billion of us, has access to this Kingdom of Heaven. Of course, people can sometimes be fooled (temporarily) into believing they are not permitted into Heaven. This is most often done through incorrect teaching. Truely though, all are welcomed. I am pleased to inform you that there is nothing you can do to stay out of Heaven, other than to be ignorant about the method of entry. All are welcomed into the Kingdom, unless they exclude themselves by thinking that "some" are not welcomed. Since I am welcomed then you are too, my friend. And if you think that I am not welcomed, then neither are you.

The prohibition against men wearing the clothing of a woman was made at a time when the Jews were at war. One way of avoiding conscription was to try to pass as female. For that reason, transvestism was equated with desertion and a failure to do one's duty.

Today though, many people equate transvestism with lewd sexual acts. Some may have a problem with this. Too, a bishop caught in the act of transvestism might bring an atmosphere of scandal to the church. This is something I would think a bishop might be concerned about.

Anyway, that's my random thoughts.

While being a transvestite will not help the poor bishop it will not be the deciding factor in his salvation.

Transvestism should be seen as an addiction behavior caused by a combination of factors, some of which could be genetic.
