I just got this kitten today 3 months old from the shelter, she was seen by the vet and they told me she has a cold and gave me medicine to give her, and I gave her the medicine about 25 minutes ago and she just threw up. Is this normal should I be worried?

Congratulations on your newest addition to the family! It sounds like she may be reacting to the medicine. I would contact your vet as soon as possible, and mention the vomiting after giving kitty her medicine.
As you will soon learn, vomiting is very common in cats, and can be caused by hairballs, overeating, eating too fast, stomach problems, and more. The best thing to do would be to be to call the vet's office when they open in the morning.

It's possible that your little kitten has an allergy to that particular medication; a respiratory illness alone won't cause a kitten to throw up.
Give your new baby her dose again in the morning, and if it disagrees with her again, return to the vet who gave you the medication and have him give you a different prescription. Good luck!

Call your vet and tell them what happened. They might have to change the medication. A cold in a cat can be serious. Cats do not have good immune systems.

The medicine may have upset her tummy. Call your vet back & see if they need to change her medication.
