i have learned that you cant base new relationships solely on your old ones. everything should start off on a clean slate when you first meet a person but if he was part of the bad experience then you should think twice about him. all relationships are hard especially long distance ones but as long as all rules are set down firmly by both parties in the beginning and both follow them to a T then everything should be fine. trusting someone so far away is hard to do but if you really love the person then you should give it a chance.

I'd have to say that without trust...what sort of a relationship is it anyway? I was just in one that didn't work. Of course, trust was the dealbreaker...and anyway...it sucks missing someone and thinking of someone and being alone all that time you're not with that person, doesn't it?

well to be honest i dont think you can have a "normal" relationship until you just out and out trust the other person. but no i dont believe in long distance relationships. i mean it could work in a perfect world, but this world isnt perfect now is it?
take care and good luck.

No, I don't think you should persue this relationship. If he really really loves you, he will come there or offer a way for you to be near him.
I had two of these (one in London) and it just can't work. Sorry to say that.
Stop with the sophmoric 'if he doesn't call me I won't call him' crap and just call him and tell him how you really feel.

Nothing works if there is no trust. And yes LDR's are very tough, but if its meant to be then nothing should break it. Except lack of trust, trust is the foundation for everything else !

They can be. They take more work than a regular relationship though. You don't say how old you are or how far away you live. These are important factors too.

It's really really really not worth it.
Pain is part of life but you'll be in for more
pain for longer being long distant.
