A true christian serve God the father son and holy ghost.they try to live by every word that comes form the mouth of God.their eyes, ears, heart open up to the truth.they know that God created good and evil.
A religious person do what make them feel good and put god at the end see their god has a little g there is no light in them.they think that god create every thing good, and bad things dont happen to god people.they seek comfort zone like chruches to relaxed and feel good about their 10 0/0 on sunday. they would call a true christian crazy. and a fanatic.

A religious person goes through the motions as dictated by the religion. It's amazing to watch Catholics, for example, who know exactly when to pull down the kneeling rail, put it up, stand, sit and go forward to eat a wafer.
All of that is religion and it has nothing to do with Jesus, because he didn't do most of those things!
Jesus was JEwish, so any rituals he followed were common Jewish rituals, many of which involved wine, covering the head, etc.
Jesus didn't spend a lot of time in the temples. Mostly he was out among the people.
He told us how to live and conduct our lives in a manner he wished. Turning the other cheek when struck. Doing twice as much work as asked for. Living a spartan lifestyle. Ministering verbally and non-verbally through actions and deeds as Jesus did.
That's considerably different from stand, sitting, kneeling and singing a song of praise, which is what all religions are about.

To be true religious person does not mean that your chosen religion is Christianity, but to be a true Christian could be construed as being a true religious person. Some people are religious without following any particular religion.
Thus, a Christian person would see themselves as being a religious person, but a religious person doesn't necessarily see themselves as being a Christian.

A Christian may or may not be truly religious. All religious people are not Christians. Religious refers to the strength of the conviction and has nothing to do with how good a christian they are.

Religion is man's attempt to create a path to God and heaven on his own terms by his own works, by definition.
Christians do not attempt to get these things by their own means, but rather rely on the sacrifice Christ gave to establish their salvation and relationship with God. So, while they will often (but, admittedly, not always) try to do the same good things a religious person does, they do it not to appease God but to please Him.
Of course, these are the True definitions of the word, though they are often used interchangeably.

most of the Christian i have seen don't really follow their religion. most of them believe that one is backward if he or she follows the religion. they also believe that religion can be changed by time. so basically they can change what seems too old or old fashioned. so what would be a true Christian? i guess the one who believes on what was right first place.
