ok,here goes,recently had the "crackpipe" and related parts changed due too massive leak,also a couple hoses in that area as well. A week later the car overheated ,didnt lose any coolant at all so I replaced the thermostat, the housing and all related gaskets and o-rings,but since I have done that the rad fan will not kick on at all.......thermo fan switch in radiator??????? or? thanks

I would check the fan fuse and the wiring to the the fan, especially around the connection at the fan. It could also be the fan motor itself. I had to replace my fan on my 97 Jetta 2.0 L as it just wore out and have heard from others they were not the best quality. I bought a used one 3 years ago for 1/3 of the cost of new and it still works.

Is it overheating? My rad fan hasn't turned on for months(no exaggeration)including summer driving. The engine never got too hot. It has a thermostat sensor in the rad and in the head. It will go when it has to. Too cool a motor just eats more fuel.and loss in horsepower.

i mechanic for a living and its possible it just blew a fuse for the fan,also it may have a wire loose on the switch that kicks the fan in,,and they do have a relay that goes bad once in a while ,you need to have it checked real good ,at least this will give you a good starting point,,they may have left the wire loose that works the fan,,anything is possible,,good luck hope this help,s.
