Are their any excersizes u can do at home, that would help raise your vertical. I really need to make the school team, and i got the fundamentals down,,i just need to work on my vertical. By the way, i have till August of next year, to train...thank u in advance

There is a type of exercise called plyometrics that are sport specific and are designed especially for things like your vertical jump. I suggest doing a lookup on the web for this and finding out what exercises you can do.

Additionally, things like squats, leg presses, deadlifts and lunges should help strengthen your legs. Focus on the power-up of the lift, of course maintaining good form.
