Yes you can, it is called Grandparent Rights. It can be done seek the adivce of an attorney right away. Be sure to tell your sons attorney what she plans on doing. So maybe his lawyer can nip it in the bud before it goes to far.
If she fails to provide the children for visitation she will be held in contempt of court and go to jail.
(This is all under the assumption that you are not a monster and should be able to see the childre.)

Oh, custody battles hurt many besides the two fighting. Petition the court for visitation of the two. In Washington and other states there is a thing called mediation. The decisions made in mediation go directly into the court records. Have you laid out your case for visitation to your sons ex? Go into mediation with you sons ex and after you've laid out you case to the ex she will relent. Grandparents are important to a childs well-being. What with the kids parents fighting right now, you could provide a safe harbor for the kids in visitation with you.

Your son will still get set visitations from the court. When he has his visitations you can see the girls. See can't stop you from seeing them during his visitations. Don't fret. My ex had our son 2 1/2 months during the summer(He lived in another state). His parents lived in the same state that I do about 70 miles away. If they wanted to see him we would meet half way and they would keep him for the weekend and them bring him back half way. Try to reason with her before taking her to court. She is just really angry right now. Tell your son to fight for full custody or partial custody.

Most, if not all states now have grandparents right when it comes to seeing their grandchildren. You will have to contact an attorney and go to court, but you can win visitation rights pretty easily.

Yes, grand parents have rights and many courts are granting rights to them the same as parents...you may need to seek legal action, but in the long run it's worth it.

yes, go to the local family court, file a petition for visitation rights and unless you are psychotic and your sons x can prove it, then there is no reason why you wouldnt be granted permission
